Given by: Enoch, opening his testimony to the generations to come. Given to: mankind, especially the righteous who will live in the days of tribulation.

Ancient readers watched skies untouched by city light; the utterly dependable circuits of the luminaries were the most public fact of life, and Enoch enlists them as witnesses to their Maker's rule.

Observe ye everything that takes place in the heaven, how they do not change their orbits, and the luminaries which are in the heaven, how they all rise and set in order each in its season, and transgress not against their appointed order.

Look up and study the heavens: every light keeps its appointed course and season, and none transgresses its order — creation itself teaches obedience to its Maker.
