Testament literature placed a patriarch's weightiest words in his final season, and 'be strong' was the ancient commissioning formula — spoken to Joshua, to Solomon, and here to Enoch as he turns from visions of heaven to one last year of fatherhood and witness.

Let thy heart be strong, For the good shall announce righteousness to the good; The righteous with the righteous shall rejoice, And shall offer congratulation to one another.

Facing one final year of testimony before being taken, Enoch is told: let thy heart be strong — for the good will announce righteousness to the good, and the righteous will rejoice together. Courage for the closing season, fed by the fellowship of the righteous.
