Amid Jubilees' portrait of a world gone astray after idols, Abram's prayer models the inward vigilance the book urges on Jews tempted to assimilate — faithfulness sought on the knees, not merely resolved in the will.

And he began to pray to the Creator of all things that He might save him from the errors of the children of men, and that his portion should not fall into error after uncleanness and vileness.

Young Abram prays that God would save him from the errors of his generation and keep his lot from falling into uncleanness. Pray to be kept from the errors of your age.
