In the ancient Near East the bow of grown sons before a patriarch was the visible grammar of household order; Jubilees sets this tableau immediately after a chapter about the violation of a father's honour — the contrast is the point.

And they came and bowed themselves to Isaac and Rebecca, and when they saw them they blessed Jacob and all his sons, and Isaac rejoiced exceedingly, for he saw the sons of Jacob, his younger son and he blessed them.

Jacob and all his sons come and bow before aged Isaac and Rebecca; the elders bless them, and Isaac's heart is filled with joy.
