Given by: the angel of the presence to Moses on Sinai, describing Israel's Passover praise on the night of the exodus. Given to: Israel through Moses — a picture of grateful worship joined to readiness to obey.

The paschal meal joined feasting to worship; Jubilees pictures Israel praising the God of their fathers over the lamb and the wine, thanksgiving and readiness for the journey bound together.

And all Israel was eating the flesh of the paschal lamb, and drinking the wine, and was lauding, and blessing, and giving thanks to the Lord God of their fathers, and was ready to go forth from under the yoke of Egypt, and from the evil bondage.

On the night of deliverance Israel ate, praised, blessed, and gave thanks — and stood ready to follow God out of bondage.
