Ben Sira pictures justice as a companion to be pursued and won, who then robes, shelters, and vindicates the one who follows her — a way of life that pays back with honour and security.

If thou followest justice, thou shalt obtain her: and shalt put her on as a long robe of honour, and thou shalt dwell with her: and she shall protect thee for ever, and in the day of acknowledgment thou shalt find a strong foundation.

Pursue justice and you will gain her — a robe of honour, a lasting home, and a sure foundation in the day of reckoning.
