Given by: the Jews of Jerusalem and Judea, in a letter of blessing to their brethren in Egypt. Given to: fellow believers — and every reader who longs to serve God willingly.

Under a persecution that made keeping the law a capital crime, faithful Jews knew that outward observance alone was not enough; they prayed for hearts that would worship God willingly whatever the cost.

And give you all a heart to worship him, and to do his will with a great heart, and a willing mind.

Pray that God Himself would give you a heart to worship Him and to do His will gladly and willingly.
