In a culture that sought truth through philosophy, the book teaches that the truth is understood by those who trust God and are faithful in love.

They that trust in him, shall understand the truth: and they that are faithful in love shall rest in him: for grace and peace is to his elect.

Those who trust God will understand the truth, and those faithful in love will rest in Him, for grace and peace belong to His elect.
