In a Hellenistic setting where death seemed the end and the righteous were mocked as fools, the book proclaims that the just live for evermore and are kept by the Most High, giving the faithful a hope the surrounding culture lacked.

But the just shall live for evermore: and their reward is with the Lord, and the care of them with the most High.

A revealed truth to ground Christian hope: the just live for ever, their reward kept with the Lord and their care held by the Most High.
